INVESTING IN SASKATCHEWAN
Did you know that the Saskatchewan government is investing more than $200 million to build our province's maternal and children's hospital?
On August 25, 2015, with confirmation of the cost of construction for the main building, the total project cost of the hospital is forecasted at $285.2 million, supported by the following:
- $235.5 million (82.5%) coming from the Government of Saskatchewan
- $28.3 million (10%) funded through Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation (formerly known as Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan)
- $21.4 million (7.5%) from interest earned by Saskatoon Health Region investments of the hospital's initial capital provided by the provincial government
Strengthening Saskatchewan for Tomorrow
The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF) has committed to raising $46.2 million for state-of-the-art equipment, furnishings, and patient and family enhancements for the hospital, with the exception of the new adult emergency department. In addition, JPCHF has championed $3.4 million in hospital enhancements such as a family theatre and child life space.
On August 25, 2015, the then Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan (today known as Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation) announced it was committed to raising additional funds for capital construction of $24.9 million, expanding its capital campaign from $50 million to $74.9 million.
While our foundation has met their capital campaign target of $50 million, there is still much work ahead to meet this new committment. Donate today and help build a hospital for our families.
