Monday, October 24, 2016 in Long Term Care, Parkridge Centre
On October 21, laughter and excited puppy yips filled the air at Parkridge Centre, a long term care home for approximately 230 residents in Saskatoon. For approximately one hour, seven puppies in the care of New Hope Dog Rescue, a local fostering charity, joined residents and staff for play, snuggles and even doggie kisses.

A puppy visits with a resident at Parkridge.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for our residents and staff to enjoy some fun,” says Maureen Beisel, Manager of Resident Care at Parkridge. “It is pretty hard to have a bad day when you can snuggle with a puppy. We can’t thank New Hope Dog Rescue and BriteBox Storage enough for this.”

The lap of one resident, Edith, was the perfect place for a puppy snooze session.

The event was sponsored by BriteBox Storage, who in addition to working with New Hope Dog Rescue to bring the puppies to Parkridge, also made a donation to the rescue charity for coordinating the event.
