It's time to renew your health card.

Health card renewal packages will be mailed out in September to all Saskatchewan residents with provincial health coverage. The packages contain updated stickers that renew health cards for a three-year period to December 31, 2020.

Once your package arrives, please ensure that you update your card with your new sticker. If your health card expires, you could be billed for medical services.

"The Saskatchewan Health Card is one of the most valuable cards in your possession as it indicates that you are entitled to health coverage under the provincial health insurance plan," eHealth Saskatchewan CEO Susan Antosh said. "Your health card must be presented when you require medical services, so please ensure that you update your card with the renewal sticker as soon as you receive it."

Saskatchewan Health Cards expire on December 31st, 2017.

If you have not received your package by late October, please contact eHealth Saskatchewan or update your personal information at

If your personal or family information has changed within the past three years, you need to update your information with eHealth Saskatchewan to ensure you receive your renewal package in the mail, along with the correct number of new stickers. Canada Post will not forward health card renewal packages.

  • Visit eHealth Saskatchewan in person at 2130 11th Avenue in Regina (open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.)

In addition to the updated sticker(s), the health card renewal package also includes information about eHealth Saskatchewan, HealthLine stickers and organ donor stickers. The organ donor sticker should be placed on your Health Card, if you choose to be a donor. The package also includes a form that requires both the organ donor and a relative or close friend to provide signed consent.

Remember to speak with your family about your wishes to be a donor. In Saskatchewan, organs and tissues will not be donated without your family or next-of-kin's consent, even if you have a sticker on your Health Card.
